What does Blur Faces do?
Blur Faces automatically detects every face in your photo and applies a Gaussian blur to anonymize them. Choose blur strength: light, medium, or strong.

How to blur faces in a photo
- Drop your photo. JPG, PNG, or WebP - up to 120 MB. Phone photos with EXIF orientation are handled correctly.
- Choose blur strength. Light blurs faces but keeps shape. Medium is the default - fully unrecognizable. Strong adds heavy blur for maximum privacy.

Frequently asked questions
Does it detect faces from the side or partially covered?
Yes - both frontal and profile faces are detected. Heavy occlusion (sunglasses + mask) may reduce accuracy. For 100% privacy, manually crop those areas after.
Can it blur faces in multi-person group photos?
Yes. Every detected face is blurred independently. Tested on group photos with 20+ people.
What about pets or stuffed animals?
The detector is trained on human faces only. Pets and dolls are not detected and remain unchanged.
Are my photos private?
Yes. Files processed in memory only, never written to disk, erased the moment processing completes.
