Unlock a PDF When You Already Know the Password

This is for PDFs whose password you already know. Maybe your bank emails encrypted statements every month and you're tired of typing the password. Strip it once, keep the unencrypted file locally.

Important: this isn't a password cracker. If you don't know the password, this tool can't help — and we wouldn't help you bypass someone else's encryption anyway. PDFs you legitimately have access to are fair game; you can prove that by entering the password.

Once decrypted, the file behaves like any other PDF. You can edit it, search the text, send it through other tools. If the original PDF restricted printing or copying, those restrictions go away too once the password is removed.
