Guides and solutions to help you when you get stuck using PDF7 tools.

Using a PDF Tool

All tools at PDF7 work in three simple steps:

  1. Open the tool page (e.g. /merge, /split, /compress).
  2. Click the "Choose file" button to upload your PDF or image files from your computer. Drag-and-drop is also supported.
  3. Set the tool-specific options (if any) and click the "Process/Merge/Compress" button.
  4. When the result is ready it downloads automatically, or you can download it manually with the "Download" button.

Common Issues and Solutions

It says my file is too big, what should I do?

Most tools have a file limit around 150 MB; some go up to 200 MB. If your file is larger, first use "Compress PDF" to reduce its size, then run your operation again.

My output file is blank or wrong

Some PDFs (especially scanned documents, unusual fonts or damaged files) can produce unexpected results. Try the "Repair PDF" tool first. If the problem persists, file a report via the contact page — sending the example file makes it faster to fix.

My connection dropped mid-operation, my file is gone

PDF7 keeps files only in temporary memory during processing; because there is no account or backup, we cannot recover a file from an interrupted operation. This is a natural consequence of our privacy design. Upload the file again and restart the operation.

The upload percentage is stuck

A slow or unstable connection is the most common cause. Refresh the page and try again. If it still fails, try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox) or a mobile connection.

Can I use it on mobile?

Yes. All modern mobile browsers, including iOS Safari and Android Chrome, are supported. You can even add the page to your home screen and use it like an app (PWA support is built in).
