What is Image Format Conversion?
Image format conversion changes a JPG into PNG, a WebP into JPG, a HEIC from iPhone into something Windows can open, or any other format-to-format. Different formats serve different purposes: JPG for photos (small, lossy), PNG for graphics with transparency (lossless), WebP for modern web (best compression), HEIC for iPhone (small but limited compatibility). PDF7 converts between all of them in one click.
Drop the image, pick the target format, download. We use Pillow + ffmpeg internally — battle-tested libraries that handle every format correctly: transparency preserved, color profiles respected, EXIF metadata kept (or stripped if you choose). Conversion is essentially instant, even for big files.

Frequently asked questions
Will converting JPG to PNG make it lossless?
No — the JPG is already compressed lossily. Converting to PNG keeps it at that compressed quality but stops further loss. PNG is lossless from that point forward.
Why convert to WebP?
WebP files are usually 25-35% smaller than JPG/PNG at the same quality. Great for web pages — faster page loads, less bandwidth. Modern browsers all support it.
Can I convert HEIC from iPhone?
Yes — drop the .heic file, pick JPG or PNG. Works for sharing iPhone photos with Windows users who can not open HEIC.
Are my files private?
Yes. Processed in memory, deleted after download. We never store, share, or sell your images.
