What are PDF Annotations?
PDF Annotations are notes, highlights, comments, drawings, and shapes you add to a PDF without modifying the original text. Like writing in the margins of a printed book, but digital and shareable. Common uses: marking a contract for review, highlighting key passages in a research paper, or commenting on a colleague's draft.

Will my annotations show up in Adobe Reader?
Yes. We add standard PDF annotations that any compliant PDF reader (Adobe, Preview, Foxit, browser PDF viewers) will display.
Can I remove annotations later?
Yes — load the annotated PDF in our annotations tool again, click any annotation, click delete. Or use any PDF editor.
Can I annotate scanned PDFs?
Yes — annotations are added on top regardless of whether the PDF has text or just images. For highlighting text in scanned PDFs, run OCR first.
Privacy?
Files processed in memory and deleted after you download. No content logged or shared.
