What is Image Cropping?
Image cropping cuts away unwanted parts of a photo — removing distracting backgrounds, focusing on the subject, fixing composition, or making a square thumbnail from a rectangular photo. PDF7's crop tool lets you select any rectangle on the image visually, with optional aspect ratio constraints (1:1 square, 16:9, 4:3, etc.) and pixel-level fine tuning.
Drag a selection box on the image, see the preview live, and click crop. The new image is just the selected area — full original quality, no rescaling. Use it for profile pictures, social media posts, document scans where you want to remove the desk, or zoom in on a specific detail.

Frequently asked questions
Can I crop multiple images at once?
Currently single-image at a time for visual cropping. For batch crops to the same dimensions, the Resize tool is faster.
What aspect ratios are supported?
1:1 (square), 4:3, 16:9, 3:2, 5:4, 21:9, custom. Or unlock for any rectangle.
Will the file size shrink?
Usually yes — fewer pixels means smaller file. Use Compress tool after cropping for even more reduction.
Are my files stored?
No. Processed in memory and deleted right after download.
