What is Image Resizing?
Image resizing changes the dimensions of an image — making a 4000×3000 phone photo into a 1080×810 web-friendly version, or shrinking a screenshot for an email signature. Different from compression: resize changes the actual pixel count. Useful when you have a giant photo but need a small version for a website, profile picture, or document.
Drop an image, type the new width and height (or pick a preset like 1080p, Full HD, Instagram square), and we resample it using high-quality Lanczos interpolation — preserving sharpness as much as possible. Lock the aspect ratio to avoid stretching, or unlock it to force exact dimensions.

Frequently asked questions
Will resizing make the image blurry?
Slightly downsizing (e.g., 4000→1080 px) actually keeps it sharp. Upscaling (1080→4000) is what blurs because we are inventing pixels. We use Lanczos which is the best for downscale; AI upscaling is on roadmap.
Can I keep aspect ratio?
Yes. Click the lock icon — type one dimension and the other auto-fills proportionally.
What about transparent PNGs?
Transparency is preserved. PNG stays PNG, transparent areas stay transparent.
Are my files stored?
No. Processed in memory, deleted after download.
