What is Image to Text (OCR)?
Image to Text uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to extract editable text from a picture — a screenshot of a tweet, a photo of a printed page, a scanned receipt, a sign in a foreign language. The image becomes pure text you can copy, paste into Word, search, translate, or feed into a spreadsheet. No more retyping what is in front of you.
We use a high-accuracy OCR engine with support for 100+ languages. Pick the language of the text in your image and we extract every word — text becomes selectable, copyable, searchable.

Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the OCR?
On clear printed text in good lighting: 95-99%. On phone photos at an angle: 80-90%. On handwriting: usually unreadable. Picking the correct language is the single biggest accuracy boost.
Can it read handwriting?
Our OCR engine is trained on printed text. Cursive handwriting is largely unreadable. Block letters in pencil sometimes work — try it and see.
What if my image has multiple languages?
Pick "auto-detect" or hold Ctrl/Cmd to select multiple languages. The OCR will try all of them. More languages = slower but more accurate for mixed text.
Is my image stored?
No. Processed in memory, erased the moment OCR completes. We never share, log, or train on your images.
